Everything can change in a day, in a moment even.
There may be no change in location, in employment, in income. Things can go along day-by-day much as they always have.
Yet a single phrase, a single conversation can change seemingly everything. It can change how we see ourselves, how we see our relationships to others. It can change our sense of our future, our hopes, dreams, and plans.
A single phrase can bring pain or redemption. And perhaps sometimes both.
I am faced today with a difficult change in my life. I cannot go into details for now. But I would appreciate your prayers.

thinking of you...
Wow, Steve thew news from mom came as a shock to me! Apparently I should read your blog more often. Seeing this post from over a month ago makes me feel like one horrible sister for being so surprised. You have always been in my prayers and will always be in my prayers. Don't take it the wrong way because I know you struggle with your faith but sometimes saying the rosary for someone feels like the most powerful thing you can do. I went to a second city improv performance in Minneapolis a while back and my favorite skit was this song that was titled "no one reads your blog Steve" and yes it was funny but ya know we should all listen to each other more and I just want you to know that I am there for you. I just want the best for you and those precious boys with all my heart. You deserve to be happy and find peace!
